Family Movie Night
Friday, August 15 at 8:15pm
Where: Valley View Park
Tri-Valley Ministerium is hosting a Christian Movie Night.
The movie shown will be “Soul Surfer” the story of teenage competitive surfer, Bethany Hamilton, who courageously returns to the sport after losing an arm in a shark attack.
Parking and Admission is Free! Ice cream, Popcorn and Drinks will be available.
UWIF Picnic
The United Women in Faith will have a picnic at the Valley View Park on Tuesday, August 19th in the Buck Stewart Pavilion. The luncheon buffet will begin at 12:00 noon. Each person is to bring their favorite main course or dessert. Paper products, utensils, and drinks will be provided. A program will be presented after the luncheon. All ladies are invited to join us for some fun time.

5th Quarter - Following Home Games during the Football Season.
It’s hard to believe it’s football season already! We will again host 5th Quarter after all home games. This is for all students grades 5th – 12th. Regular season dates are as follows:
Aug. 22 / Sept. 5 / Sept. 19 / Oct. 3 / Oct. 10 / Any home playoff games will be noted at that time.

St Andrews Annual Fathers Day Breakfast
Our 75th Annual Fathers Day Breakfast will be held at the Valley View Park on Father’s Day, June 15. We will serve breakfast between 5 and 7 AM. Men women and children of all ages will make this year’s breakfast a success! Some families bring several generations to the park, and many have attended for years. This is the longest running event in the Hegins Valley. Join us Father’s Day for great food and fellowship. Looking forward to seeing you then!

Celebrate the season with 4 AREA CHURCH CHOIRS & a mass choir finale
Thanksgiving Day Meal
St. Andrew’s is hosting a FREE Thanksgiving Day Meal for any, and all, who would like to join us for a “full spread” meal. This will be our 8th year and we have been blessed each year to share this time with so many others! Your support and donations, each year, have enabled us to do this. Each year some person or family in need has been blessed because of gracious and generous monetary donations received the day of the meal.
You are invited to come and share the day with family or friends, familiar and new. We will serve from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. There is no charge for the meal. We will serve eat-in or take-out meals. We only ask that you contact the church office at (570) 682-3508 to register, for either eat-in or take-out. We would like to have a count by November 19th.
If you forget to register or your plans change, we welcome all walk-ins on Thanksgiving Day!
Help is needed on Wednesday, the day before, for setting up the fellowship hall, as well as prepping food. Thanksgiving Day, we will need help with cooking, serving, and clean-up. Pies, cakes, pumpkin rolls, or cobblers will be needed, and perhaps some other meal items (Watch bulletins for any items needed).
Donation / Volunteer sheets will be in the Fellowship Hall. Any Youth interested with helping will receive Community Service hours. If there are any questions, please contact Karen at 570-590-7330.
Apple Festival coming September 28
The Apple Festival will be held September 28. All things Apple – including Cider, Pies, and Dumplings, along with other foods were served at the Valley View Park. Watch here and on Facebook for more information.2828

“Diving into Friendship with God”.

JEWEL JOG
The Jewel Jog is not just for runners! Do you prefer to walk? Perfect! You are Team Turtle! Do you like to run? Awesome! You are Team Hare! Two teams, one cause! Walk, run, skip, hop, or crawl, but don’t miss this fun event to support Jewel Women’s Center! Early registration for walkers and runners is $20 through May 19. May 20 through June 8, registration for adults will be $25. Children riding in a stroller are free. There are copies of registration information in Fellowship Hall. If there is interest in forming a team from St. Andrew’s, please see Mary Ellen Klebe for more information.
DAUGHTER'S DAY
All age girls and women, you are a DAUGHTER! We will be holding a Daughter’s Day covered dish on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:00pm. We will enjoy a time of food, fun, laughter and even some Bible Trivia – Women of the Bible! We will also be entertained by our own Carole Hepler and her sister, Cindy Wedde. Mark your calendars, make your favorite dish, and come join us as we celebrate daughters!
